RAMALLAH, August 22, 2012 (WAFA) -The total amount of general government expenses reached $3,403.5 million in 2011 while revenues amounted to $3,461 million, a joint Ministry of Finance-Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics press release said Wednesday.

The report said 92.7% of the expenses were of the central government, distributed mainly on compensation of employees, 62%, social benefits, 15.2%, goods and services, 16.9%, and other expenses, 3.2%.

Of the revenues, 90.6% were central government revenues, mainly tax revenues at 62.7%, grants and aids at 33.7%, and other revenues at 3.6%.
