JERUSALEM, July 1, 2012 (WAFA) - A staff from Israeli West Jerusalem municipality late Saturday night demolished four Palestinian shops in Bab Al Amoud area, in East Jerusalem, according to local sources.
One of the shop owners, Samer al-salaymeh, told WAFA that a large military Israeli force accompanied by a staff from the Israeli municipality began demolishing the shops without any prior notice.
They said the shops were completely burnt last week, causing severe financial loss to their owners. Israeli police opened up an arson investigation that was registered against an unknown person; police didn’t reveal any more information about the case.
