KHAN YOUNIS, June 23, 2012 (WAFA) – A 5-year-old child was killed Saturday when Israeli jets fired a missile at a playground near Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip, according to initial reports.

It said Mutaz Shawaf was playing with other children when a missile hit the playground in the town of Abassan, near Khan Younis, killing Shawaf and injuring others.

With the death of Shawaf, Palestinian medical sources said a total of 14 Palestinians have been killed since Israel started its airstrikes on Gaza on Monday, including three children, and injured 67 people, including seven critical, 17 children and five women.
