MOSCOW, April 25, 2012 (WAFA) - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Mikhail Bogdanov Wednesday affirmed Russia’s condemnation of Israeli settlement activities following Israel’s legalization of three settlement outposts in the West Bank.
He said during a meeting with the Palestinian ambassador to Russia, Faed Mustafa, that Russia commends President Mahmoud Abbas’ political moves.
He said Russia considers settlement activities as illegal and a unilateral action.
Bogdanov stressed his country’s support of the Palestinian reconciliation and expressed willingness to exert all efforts along with all parties to achieve it.
On his part, Mustafa briefed Bogdanov on the latest political developments and discussed Abbas’ letter to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Palestinian reconciliation.
